The Fairport Little League GRIT program offers a higher level of play, with teams that compete with travel teams from other New York District 4 Little League travel programs.  This is Monroe County’s oldest and largest travel baseball program!
Typically there are one or two weekend games per week from late April through the end of June.  Playoffs and additional games may spill into weekdays in July, however the schedule will not conflict with FLL house ball or district tournaments.
Most teams play 10-14 games depending on the weather and advancement in the playoffs.
It is required to play FLL house ball in Spring 2021 to be rostered on a FLL GRIT team.
Rosters will be selected by early October,  and preseason-indoor practices begin the week following winter recess (2021).
Two practices/week
Teams to be Selected:
8U   (birthday between 9/1/2012 and 8/31/2014)
10U (birthday between 9/1/2010 and 8/31/2012)
12U (birthday between 9/1/2008 and 8/31/2010)
(Number of teams in each age bracket TBD based on numbers of registrations, volunteer coaches, evaluations and team selection process)
Registration for players who make a team will be $375 per player.   This includes 8 weeks of indoor training (16 hour long sessions) at Tri-County sports.   A $200 down payment will be due as teams form so that we can take care of our indoor training fees and secure our preferred times and field.  This cost doesn't include summer tournaments.
