Softball

Our Girls Softball divisions cover ages 5 through 16. 

Our Spring season runs from April to late June (July for 13 and up leagues). We also offer Fall-Ball Softball which is in September and October. In Fall-Ball players have the opportunity to play in the division that aligns to their age for the following year, giving them an opportunity to play at the next higher level in a more relaxed setting.

  • Micros (5-7). League Play with on field instruction. Coach pitch. Focus on teaching fundamental skills and the basics of the game. Highly Instructional introduction to the fundamentals of playing a game. Coach pitch games focused on hitting and making defensive outs. Further develop the understanding of softball as well as a heavy focus on core fundamentals.
  • Minors (8-10). League Play. Players pitch, coaches enter to finish pitching as needed. 10 year olds may request to play Majors with a tryout required. 8 year olds may request to play down a level in Micros based on ability and comfort. Modified game rules around stealing, overthrows, etc. to keep the game flowing. Continued focus on development of fundamentals as the speed of the game intensifies. The season culminates with playoffs and a league championship.
  • Majors (11-12). First year Majors softball league players must attend one of the tryout dates. Everyone selected. Teams are assigned through a draft process. Full kids pitch and Official Little League rules govern game play.  Continued focus on development of fundamentals as the speed of the game intensifies. Game play is two times per week and intended to be off on weekends. The season culminates with playoffs and a league championship.
  • Juniors/Seniors (13-16). First year Juniors softball league players must attend one tryout. Everyone selected. Full game play vs. teams from other towns. Designed to be played as double headers on Sundays.
